EPH at the Hawesville Steamboat Festival

On Saturday, October 13th, the Emmick Plantation House gang set up shop at the annual Steamboat Festival in Hawesville. With our booth loaded up with brochures, postcards, delicious goodies, EPH cookbooks, we had a great time introducing everyone we met to the EPH story… and hearing some EPH stories from those who had already visited the plantation in years past – the Herb Society, for example, and plenty of Lewisport High School graduates.

We were lucky to be placed near a booth operated by Amish young people selling delicious candies and fried pies, Nanny’s lemonade stand, and a foster family agency selling pulled pork sandwiches. It was a tasty day with gorgeous 80* weather and many a fun conversation!
